MEET MEL KEYES
Pastor Mel Keyes was born in Brooklyn, New York to Carl Outler and Patricia Keyes, and raised in a loving home by his mother and grandparents, Melford and Laura Keyes. At seventeen, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served ten years of active duty in Texas — the same place he met his lifelong partner and wife, Kendra F. Keyes.
Married for more than 35 years, they are blessed with three children and seven grandchildren, including identical twin girls.
For over two decades, Pastor Mel has faithfully led The Joshua House of Worship in San Antonio, Texas, empowering believers to live the “Blessed Life” through biblical principles, community service, and global ministry.
He is the author of “Hell to the Know”, “7 Keyes for the BEST of Your Life,” and the acclaimed anthology “Going Places: Season 2” — an Amazon, best seller, ranked #1 in three different categories, a collection featuring the powerful testimonies of faith-filled believers on divine assignment. In addition, he has served as publisher for If Carol Can, the inspiring life story of one of his spiritual daughters.
As the founder of Master Keyes Coaching & Consulting, Pastor Mel helps faith-driven authors, coaches, and entrepreneurs unlock their God-given potential through ministry, entrepreneurship, and leadership. His programs are designed to help believers write their stories, build their platforms, and create lasting impact for the Kingdom.
Together with his wife, 1st Lady Kendra, he also leads Joshua Generation Travel, a movement empowering others to explore the world, create wealth, and fund Kingdom causes — including orphan ministries and global outreach efforts.
Beyond the pulpit and coaching platform, Pastor Mel serves on multiple boards and faith-based advisory committees dedicated to promoting adoption, family services, and community transformation throughout Texas.
A certified life coach through 48 Days, he holds multiple degrees including an M.A. in Christian Ministry from Dallas Baptist University and a B.A. in Theology from The Baptist University of the Américas.
