What is GOING PLACES all about??? 🤔

✨ The Vision That Started It All

It began long before there was ever a logo, a book, or a movement. I’ve always had a passion for storytelling, for helping people find their voice, and for showing believers that their message matters.

What started as a single idea — a call to bring Kingdom-minded leaders together to write and share their testimonies — has now become a global mission. The Going Places Movement isn’t just a book project; it’s a community of purpose, vision, and transformation.

🚀 The Birth of the Movement

When God first placed the vision in my heart, I knew it wasn’t just about publishing stories. It was about unlocking the greatness inside of others — authors, entrepreneurs, and leaders who felt a divine nudge to use their voice for impact.

Through the “Going Places” Anthology Series, we’ve watched ordinary people become extraordinary storytellers. Each author represents a unique testimony of faith, perseverance, and victory. Together, we’ve proven that “It’s more than a book — it’s a mindset, a mandate, and a mission.”

1. Going Places: From Vision to Reality - A Journey of Faith & Purpose

Have you ever felt called to something greater but didn't know how to take the first step? The story behind "Going Places" reveals how God can transform a simple vision into a movement that impacts lives across the globe. This isn't just about writing books or traveling the world - it's about discovering your divine purpose and having the courage to pursue it.

2. How Does God Plant Seeds of Purpose into Our Lives?

The journey of "Going Places" began long before it became an official ministry. Like many of God's greatest works, it started with small, seemingly insignificant moments. The vision's founder began writing as a child, creating comic book stories and composition papers that blended Bible stories with imagination.

This early passion for storytelling continued through teenage years and into adulthood. Even before recognizing a call to gospel ministry, there was a consistent pattern of writing sermons and spiritual content. Boxes of writings from late teenage years and early twenties became a treasure trove of God-inspired thoughts and ideas.

3. What Does It Mean to Make Your Calling Official?

There's a significant difference between having a gift and stewarding it properly. Many people possess raw talent but never develop it into something that can truly serve others. The transition from amateur to professional requires discipline, education, and most importantly, obedience to God's leading.

About 15 years ago, this transition became official with the publication of the first book, "Hell to the Know: How to Get from the Hell You've Been Living into the Life You Were Meant to Live." This marked the crossing of a line - from someone who wrote privately to someone who shared their message publicly.

4. How Does One Person's "Yes" Impact Others?

The power of saying yes to God's vision extends far beyond personal fulfillment. When one person steps into their calling, it creates opportunities for others to discover and pursue theirs. This ripple effect became evident when the first coaching opportunity arose with Minister Carol, whose compelling life story needed to be shared with the world.

That first coaching experience became the prototype for what had already been written for "Master Keyes Coaching." Sometimes we think we need to see the entire plan before we begin, but God often reveals His purposes one door at a time. Each act of obedience opens the next opportunity.

5. What Happens When Vision Expands Beyond Personal Dreams?

Initially, "Going Places" seemed like a personal project - a book that would represent marketplace ministry and ambassadorship. However, during a season of solitude, fasting, and prayer, God revealed that this vision was much bigger than one person could contain.

The revelation came that this would include many people, each with their own unique story and calling. This understanding led to reaching out to others who could see and embrace the vision, creating a community of authors and leaders working together toward a common purpose.

6. What Makes Going Places Different from Traditional Ministry?

Going Places represents a unique blend of kingdom principles with real-world experiences. Instead of compartmentalizing faith and life, this ministry integrates spiritual growth with adventure, learning, and community building.

The concept merges book tours with world tours, combining leadership development, worship, and "fun under the sun." "Going Places" events have taken place in San Antonio, Hawaii, Jamaica, and twice in Dubai, creating breathtaking moments where participants experience God's goodness while pursuing their calling.

7. Why Is Community So Important in Pursuing Purpose?

There's a powerful principle at work in the Going Places community: iron sharpens iron. The ministry emphasizes spending time with people who are either where you want to be or heading in the same direction. Too often, we waste time with people who don't share our vision or values, which can hinder our own progress.

The community aspect creates an environment where each person's success contributes to everyone else's growth. When people with vision come together, they naturally add value to each other's journey.

8. What Is Master Keyes Coaching and How Does It Support the Vision?

Master Keyes Coaching serves as the foundation for the Going Places movement. It represents marketplace ministry with a kingdom perspective, addressing the gap between knowing God's word & living it fully in every area of life.

Many believers compartmentalize their faith, treating it like a buffet where they pick and choose which parts to embrace. Master Keyes Coaching challenges this approach, particularly in areas like entrepreneurship and wealth creation, which are often misunderstood and /or misaligned in some church circles.

9. How Does Investment in Personal Growth Accelerate Purpose?

The journey of developing Master Keyes Coaching involved significant personal investment in education and coaching. Starting with a $1,000 investment in a life coach 15 years ago, the commitment to learning has grown to include annual investments of $20,000-$25,000 in personal development.

This investment philosophy reflects a key principle: you must invest in yourself to effectively serve others. The knowledge and skills gained through this investment become the foundation for empowering others to unlock their own potential.

10. What Does It Mean to Unlock Your Potential?

The authors range from retirees in their 70s to middle aged professionals & young, stay at home moms, each bringing their own perspective on overcoming challenges and pursuing purpose. Their stories demonstrate that it's never too late to step into your calling & that God can use anyone willing to say yes.

• Remember, God doesn't require you to see the entire plan before you begin. He simply asks for your yes, and then He opens doors one at a time. Your obedience today could be the key that unlocks not only your own potential but also creates opportunities for others to discover theirs.
